Players from Redland City Wind Ensemble are excited to be travelling via Sealink Vehicle Ferry to Russell Island to present a workshop and combined rehearsal with the Southern Moreton Bay Island Community Concert Band and a local island Choir, the Coral Chorale followed by a joint concert starting at 3pm in the Russell Island Recreational Hall. Admission to the Concert is free.
Redland City Bands hope to provide a memorable day of music making and learning, which will encourage and bolster the efforts of island people in their community music making and allow all island residents to hear a high level musical event free of charge. We would love for our involvement in this unique musical opportunity to bring the island and mainland musical communities together.
